Adrian-Ellsworth Wins One, Suffers Two Loses Last Week

The A-E Dragons hosted the Trinity Christian Tigers from Hull, Iowa in a non-conference boys’ basketball contest.  The Dragons won by the score of  70-52.   The Dragons were led by Ian Stamer’s 20 points and 4 steals.  Noah Reyne added 13 points and 6 rebounds.  Peyton Lewis put up 13 points and Lance Luettel chipped in with 8 points.  The Dragons made 30 of 55 field goals for 55%.  The Dragons forced 14 turnovers.  The Adrian-Ellsworth Dragons improved to 6-3 overall and are currently 2-1 in Red Rock Conference play.

The Adrian-Ellsworth Dragons traveled to Okabena on January 7th, to take on the Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda Coyotes in a Red Rock Conference match-up.  The Coyotes beat the Dragons 66 to 57.  Noah Reyne led the Dragons with 20 points and 4 rebounds.  Peyton Lewis had 14 points and 5 rebounds, while Ian Stamer put up 10 points and Lance Luettel added 8 points for the Dragons.  Adrian-Ellsworth converted 24 shots of 45 attempts for 53%.  The Dragons won the rebounding battle 27-24.  Adrian-Ellsworth falls to 2-2 in Red Rock Conference play and 6-4 overall.

H-BC travels to take on the Dragons in Ellsworth

The Adrian-Ellsworth Dragons hosted the Hills-Beaver Creek Patriots in a Red Rock Conference contest at Ellsworth High School.  The Patriots won in overtime 59 to 56. The Dragons had a chance to tie the game with an open look from the top of the key, but were unable to convert.  The Dragons were led by Grant Jansma’s 15 points.  Noah Reyne had 13 points, 4 rebounds and 3 steals for the Dragons, while Peyton Lewis added 13 points and 5 rebounds.  The Dragons made 22 of 52 shot attempts for 42% from the field.  The Dragons fall to 2-3 in Red Rock Conference play and 6-5 overall.  The Dragons will host Mountain Lake Area- Comfrey on Friday, January 17th in Ellsworth.
