The 2019 Adrian golf teams were honored at their annual awards banquet on Tuesday, June 4th. At this time, all participants, letterwinners, and award winners were recognized. The girls and boys teams both had successful seasons and are to be commended for their efforts and dedication.
Nineteen golfers participated in the golf program this season. Of those 19, just 2 were seniors that have been a part of our program for several seasons and will be missed when the 2020 campaign gets underway. Members of the 2019 Adrian golf teams were: 7th Grade – Ana Wolf and Andrew Bennett; 8th Grade – Taya Elias, Tannisha Runia, Maddie Wagner, Brock Henning, Ethan Langseth, Landyn Loosbrock, and Logan Nogosek; 9th Grade – Josi Altman; 10th Grade – Gracia Elias, Jacob Lenz, and Landon Runia; 11th Grade – Annika Elias, Easton Braun, Caleb Hornstein, and Blake Madison; 12th Grade – Madelyn Odell and John Christians.
With just 2 seniors in our program, both Dragon teams were young this season and yet performed very well The experience gained during the 2019 season should prove valuable for the Dragons in 2020. Spending a lot of time on the golf course in the off-season will be a key to success for the returning golfers.
2019 letterwinners for the Dragons were: Madelyn Odell, Annika Elias, Gracia Elias, Josi Altman, Taya Elias, Maddie Wagner, John Christians, Easton Braun, Landon Runia, Brock Henning, Landyn Loosbrock, and Logan Nogosek.
Award winners for the Lady Dragons were: Madelyn Odell – Low Score Section 3A-Round 1; Annika Elias – Low Score Season; Gracia Elias – Low Score Season, Low Season Average, Low Score Red Rock Conference Tournament; Josi Altman – Low Score Season; Maddie Wagner – Most Improved.
Boys award winners include: Easton Braun – Most Improved; Brock Henning – Low Score Season, Low Season Average, Low Score Red Rock Conference Tournament, and Low Score Section 3A-Round 1.
Madelyn Odell, Gracia Elias, Josi Altman, and Brock Henning golfed in the Minnesota State High School Golf Tournament on June 11th and 12th at Pebble Creek Golf Club in Becker, MN. See next weeks Review for the results.
