A Mass of Christian Burial for Heinrich Hakenewerd, age 78, will be held Friday, March 3, 2006, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Wilmont, MN, at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Gerald Kosse officiating. Burial will be in the St. Kilian Catholic Cemetery, St. Kilian, MN. Henry died Monday, February 27, 2006, at the Crossroads Care Center, Worthington, MN.
Heinrich was born January 27, 1928, in Paderborn, Germany. On May 18, 1953, Henry came to America with his sponsor, Conrad Sasse. He lived in Wilmont where he worked as a carpenter; and also at Safeway, in Adrian. He was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, in Wilmont. Survivors include his brother, Fr. Albert Hakenewerd OFM, Werl, Germany; sister-in-law, Maria Hakenewerd, Westenholz, Germany; and a niece. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Maria Hakenewerd, on August 18, 1991; and a brother, Josef Hakenewerd, on January 14, 1906. |
