When Lindsay (Rust) Lonneman reflected on a week long mission trip she, her sister Lexi Rust and friend Kayla (Kruger) Cox went on with a group of 26 from the Luverne American Reformed Church she wrote, “growing up in a small farm community, I can honestly say I did not take into consideration what a place like Haiti really looked like and the struggles they face before I went on this trip. Sure I saw pictures in textbooks and on the news, but until I actually went to Haiti and saw their lifestyle with my own eyes, it just seems unbelievable how others in our world are able to survive is such desperate conditions like in Haiti.”
