Must start this column by stating what a great band we have! I went to the Burger Feed before the concert. The Countryside Inn did the huge burgers with all the trimmings! You can’t beat these homemade buns and the huge hamburgers! The band concert started right at 7:00 p.m. and I was home by 7:45! The drumline was terrific! Then the colorguard performed beautifully and then the whole marching band played several numbers. The 5th grade band members were introduced and also Senior recognition. The new drum major for 2012-2013 is Dillion John, son of Shelly and Jim John. I counted 65 students and 8 of those are Seniors! Director Deb McNeill is to be praised and congratulated along with the whole band. Thanks for a great evening.

As humans, we need to take one day at a time and give God the glory; because God will take care of what we need for today and tomorrow. So as you forge ahead in the months of November and December, remember to stop and give God thanks for what God will be providing for you today and tomorrow. Blessings to each of you during this beautiful and abundant fall season! Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ
Thank you Pastor Kristi!
The First Baptist Church in Adrian held their annual ladies Thanksgiving lunch/ brunch on Saturday, November 3rd at 11:30 a.m. The church parlor was filled with women and several younger girls. Their tables were decorated beautifully and the food most delicious! Over cups of hot coffee, Pastor Barr’s wife Elayna spoke briefly on the book of Titus in the New Testament. Her words touched all hearts! Thank you Baptist ladies for a wonderful time! P.S. I sat at the table with friend Bonnie Rogers whose grandson is quarterback on the Adrian football team and she said how badly all felt when they lost on Friday. Also at our table was Gladys (Hartog) Siefkes of Worthington who graciously poured coffee!
