SPECIAL MEETING ADRIAN BOARD OF EDUCATION, NOVEMBER 14, 2012

The special meeting of the Adrian Board of Education was called to order by chairman Lonneman, at 12:36 PM on Wednesday, November 14, 2012. Members present: Brake, Lynn, Lonneman, Kunkel, Tweet and Wolf. Also present Superintendent Graff.

Member Lenz was absent

The purpose of the meeting was to canvass the election results of the general election held on November 6, 2012. A total of 3448 votes were cast during the general election for the four year school board term, with David Bullerman receiving 725 votes, Mark Lonneman receiving 737 votes, Lisa Kruger receiving 767 votes, Les Madison receiving 380 votes, and 35 write-in votes. A total of 1158 votes were cast during the special election for the two year unexpired term, with Britney Fransen receiving 198 votes, Bobby Kunkel receiving 869 votes and 3 write-in votes. A motion by Tweet to approved the resolution canvassing the returns of votes cast, with Lisa Kruger, Mark Lonneman, David Bullerman and Bobby Kunkel receiving the most votes and are elected to the Adrian School Board effective the first Monday in January 2013, second by Lynn, motion carried.

Motion by Lynn to approve the resolution Authorizing Issuance of Certificates of Election and Directing School District Clerk to Perform Other Election Related Duties. Motion was second by Kunkel, motion carried.
