News was sparse for this week. Everyone is busy with the hustle and bustle of getting ready for Christmas.
One of the things foremost on our minds is the shooting tragedy that happened last week in Newtown, Connecticut. Let us keep all the people that lost children and the others that died in our prayers.
Both the boys and girls Ellsworth Panthers Basketball
teams had their first wins this past week. On Friday evening, the boys won an away game at RRC and the girls beat HBC on Saturday afternoon at home.
Darius Klingenberg was a Saturday afternoon caller at the home of Jan Stoll.
Ryan, Kristin, Karson and Kayne Jurrens, Adam McKnight, Katie, Devin and Kenley Korthals, Rock Rapids IA were Sunday visitors with their parents, Wayne and Diane Schweitzer. The ladies made Christmas cookies and goodies and the men watched the football games.
In spite of the rain Saturday morning the Parkview Manor Volunteers Bake Sale was well attended and had a very good Fund Raiser for the residents.
Early deadlines next two weeks get news to me for the Dec 26th paper by Dec 21st and the Jan 2nd paper by Dec 28th.
