Adrian is home to a hidden treasure. Her name is Peg Carrier. Most people know her as the person to call if you have an item of clothing that needs to be shortened, lengthened, altered, or repaired. Peg says that sewing is her hobby, but not many people have a hobby that benefits people on such an intimate and personal level.
For years, Peg has played a role in the behind-the-scenes preparations for weddings and proms. "I've probably done [the alterations to] at least 200 dresses for weddings - which includes wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, mother of the bride and mother of the groom dresses, and for proms." She goes on to say that, "I average 18 prom dresses a season. I've worked on prom dresses for proms in Adrian, Worthington, Ellsworth, Hills, Fulda, Sibley, and Valley Springs."
