The Panther girls started the new year off with victories over Harris-Lake Park 55-51 and Edgerton 65-46. They continued their winning streak winning three of the next four outings.
Ellsworth 47 - RRC 43
The Panther girls went up against RRC in conference action, limiting the Falcons to 11 second half points and getting the win 47-43.
For the Panthers three players scored in double figures Alexa Huisman 12 points, Bridget Kramer 11 and Brenna Kramer 10.
Ellsworth 53 - SWU 45
In Red Rock Conference action the Panthers evened their conference record at 4-4 defeating the Southwest United Wildcats 53-45.
The Wildcats led at the half with the Panthers defense stepping up in the second half for the win.
Scoring for the Panthers were Bridget Kramer with 21 points and five assists, Alexa Huisman 15 points and Amber Walkowaik charted a double double, with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
MCC 72, Ellsworth 63
The Panther girls fell to MCC on their home court.
For the Panthers Alexa Huisman had a game-high 26 points and Bridget Kramer had 18 points, five assists and four steals.
Ellsworth 63 - Edgerton 61
The Panthers girls trailed by as much as 16-points at halftime, until Alexa Huisman netted a 3-pointer with 41 seconds left in the game giving the Panthers a 62-61 lead and the win.
Alexa Huisman finished with a game-high 24 points for the Panthers along with three steals. Bridget Kramer reached the 1,000-point milestone for her varsity career as she netted 18 points, seven steals. Amber Walkowaik contributed 10 points, nine rebounds and three steals and Brenna Kramer had three steals.
The win brings the Ellsworth girls record to 9-8 and 5-5 for the year.
