Eighth grade Student Council members Dylan Gyberg, Jackie Hokeness, Frank Serrao and Brittney Loonan gather the donations collected in the food drive to go to the Nobles County Food Pantry.
The Middle School Student Council, that organized the food drive, thanks all of the students, their families, and the community for the strong support of this year’s food drive.
Adrian Middle School students surpassed their goal for the 2013 Snow Week Food Drive. With a goal of 600 total food items, students brought in a total of 742 items.

As a result of meeting this year’s goal, students in grades 6-8 were invited on a trip to Great Bear Recreation Park in Sioux Falls. A total of 115 students enjoyed tubing down the snowy hills and spending time with their friends at the lodge.

The food drive was also a furious competition between the three middle school grades. Eighth graders won the class competition by bringing in 303 items. Seventh graders were second with 225 items and sixth graders collected 214 items during the week. All of the food collected has been donated to a food pantry in Worthington for those in Nobles County who are in need.
