A Mass of Christian Burial for Zelda E. Scheidt , age 88 of Luverne, MN, will be held Friday, May 10, 2013, at St. Catherine Catholic Church, Luverne, MN, at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Thomas Jennings officiating. Burial will be in the St. Catherine Cemetery, Luverne. Zelda died Friday, May 3, 2013, at the Mary Jane Brown Home in Luverne. She was born on May 8, 1924, in rural Rock County, to Jake and Edna (Kreimier) Serie. She graduated from Kenneth High School.

Zelda married Dominic Scheidt on September 28, 1943, at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Luverne. After their marriage, the couple farmed north of Adrian. In November of 1947, they moved to the Hinckley Farm west of Luverne which was known as the old brick factory. In 1980, they moved into Luverne.

She was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church; and served as Past President of the Winona Diocesan Council of Catholic Women. She enjoyed bowling and dancing to the Guy Lombardo & Lawrence Welk bands.

Zelda is survived by her three children, Mary Bullerman, Thief River Falls; Lawrence (Regina) Scheidt, Rochester; and Tim (Susan) Scheidt, Warsaw, IN; daughter-in-law, Pat Scheidt, Luverne; nine grandchildren, Michael Bullerman, Jennifer (Eric) Grover, Heather (Kendall) Scheidt-Sylvester, Brad (Heather) Scheidt, Marc (Kristen) Scheidt, Tracey (Chris) Bringe, Tyler (Mary) Scheidt, Sarah Scheidt & Andrew Scheidt; and eight great grandchildren, Phoenix, Michael, Charlotte, Harley, Mason, Spencer, Claire & Easton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dominic, on August 5, 2006; daughter, Beverly Snider, in 1993; son, Tony Scheidt, in 2010; two sons-in-law, Gary Snider; and Allan Bullerman; and nine siblings, Sylvia, Wallace, Merlyn, Tootie, Frona, La Verle, Waldo, Joan & Jake.
