Deb Lutmer drove to Rochester to meet her sisters, Vicki Dew of Willmar and Carol Giroux of Wheaton on Thursday.  Vicki had appointments at the Mayo Clinic.  The city received 14 inches of snow and it was falling at a rate of about 1.5 inches per hour!  Thank heaven for the tunnels that connect so many venues with the clinic; no driving necessary until it was time to come home.

The monthly meeting of the American Legion Auxiliary will be Wednesday, May 15th..   Members will be sorting the donations to the Fisher House.

This is the last week to donate to the “kitchen shower” benefiting the Fisher House.  The Fisher House is a home-away-from-home for occupancy by veteran patients who are undergoing long term outpatient therapy and for family members or caretakers of veterans that are hospitalized.  The Fisher House is located within walking distance of the Minneapolis VA Medical Center.  Items needed include canned soups & sauces, plastic wrap,  jelly, aluminum foil, microwave popcorn, personal care items, laundry soap, dish detergent, peanut butter, paper plates & napkins, hot cocoa mix, boxes of tissues, dryer sheets, paper towels, note pads and pens.  Anyone wishing to make a donation may contact an Auxiliary member for pick up or call Avis Stoffel,

Congratulations to Lindsay Loosbrock  & Ryan Henning, who were married  at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church on Saturday afternoon.

On Firday, Glenn & Jackie Wieneke attended their Grandson's Kindergarten "Barnyard Moosical" play.  Joshua was a chicken.  It was attended by lots of parents and grandparents.  All the kids did a great job!  They also ate lunch with Joshua at noon.  On Saturday evening, Angie & Jonny Beek came to take Glenn out for a belated birthday supper.
