Aloha! Adrian’s Christmas in July celebration will be Saturday, July 20th but there are events scheduled throughout the weekend. The theme for this years celebration is “Hawaiian Christmas.”
The fun begins on Friday behind Adrian City Hall with the 2nd annual “Ribs and Rims” fundraiser. “Ribs and Rims” will kick off at 5:30 pm and will go until 8:00 pm or until the ribs are gone. It is a free will donation with profits going to the Adrian, Ellsworth, Rushmore and Lismore Fire Departments and the Adrian Ambulance. There will also be a beer garden on the grounds. Games for the kids will be set up. Don’t forget to bring your “ride” down to the rims part of the event. If it has wheels they want it down at the show. Bring your cars, trucks, tractors, bikes, golf carts, etc. and show off your ride. There is no entry fee or prizes, this is for fun only. New this year the Starfire Band will be entertaining from 8:00-11:00 p.m.

The kiddies will be peddling away at the kiddie tractor pull in the Adrian State Bank parking lot beginning at 5 pm.
The highlight of the day and evening is the parade beginning at 7:00 p.m. The heat can’t keep Santa and Mrs. Claus away from the celebration and the Adrian Marching Band will be making their first appearance of the year in the parade playing you guessed it . . a medly of Christmas songs.
The ducks will take to the street following the parade. The annual duck race will be held beside the fire hall. Be sure to buy your duck race raffle tickets and come cheer your duck on. Duck raffle tickets are on sale at Closet to Closet, Carl’s Farm Store and Adrian State Bank.
