A gorgeous summer morning met the medium sized team at the Mt. Lake Area meet. Twelve teams tried the luscious green golf course trail along the lake at ten o’clock AM. First up were the combined varsity and junior varsity ladies.

Fast out of the shoot was Moriah Bullerman, Adrian’s lone state competitor last year. She paced an 11th place 21:42, slow for her standards. Morgan Penning continued to be Adrian’s second star, with a 32nd place 23:53. Gracia Elias rounded out the top three with a 25:23 45th place.

Jasmine Kohorst and Karis Barr finished the team scoring with 59th place 28:01 and 66th place 28:40, respectively. The team added up a 180 6th place team score out of the 10 complete teams, the only full Dragon team of the day.

Courtney Penning came in directly behind Karis at 67th, only seventeen seconds later at 28:57. Annika Elias and Khailee Nelson also ran the 3.1 mile race. Annika placed 72nd, broke 30 minutes with a 29:51. Khailee Nelson showed she belonged, placing 80th in the 87 member race clocking a 31:01. This is the senior’s first ever race after two years as the team’s manager.
