Dragon Track find success in Worthington ~ Zach Bierman brings home four medals

The Dragons fought off chilly conditions at the Worthington Invitational on Thursday,  April 27th, to add to their collection of medals.

Zach Bierman led the Dragon medal count with a first place finish in the 100m race followed by a second place finish in the 200m, and fourth in the 400m.  Tristen White finished ninth in the 100m.  The relay team of Dakota John, Dominique Canelas, Mitchell Preuss and Tristan White placed seventh in the 4 x 100m race.

For the girls, Moriah Bullerman crossed the line in fifth place in the 800m and 1600m races, followed closely by Morgan Penning in seventh place in the 1600m.  The girls relay team of Kendra Froderman, Bailey Lonneman, Katie Reisdorfer and Katia Suarez place sixth in the 4 x 100m relay, and fifth in the 4 x 200m relay.

On the field side of the competition, Zach Bierman would wrap up his day with a fourth place finish in the long jump, and Trisitan White would place sixth.  Dakota John fought for fifth place in the triple jump.  Scot Edwards brought home fourth place in the men’s shot put, and bested his season record by placing eighth in the discus.  Tucker Wieneke set a personal record by bringing home seventh place in the discus.

In the women’s field competition, Rebecca Walton placed ninth in the shot put.  Ashley Schnoor threw a personal best in the discus placing sixth,  and Sammy Wieneke set a season record for ninth.  Kendra Froderman tied for third in the high jump competition.

The Dragons will head back to Worthington for the Trojan Invitational on Thursday, May 4, and then to Slayton on Monday May 8th for the 3A True Team Sections.
