Adrian wins first round of section play-offs over HLO
The Dragons hosted the Heron Lake-Okabena Wildcats in the opening round of the playoffs. The Dragons led by just one point at halftime before breaking things open in the second half, taking the win 72 to 53. The Dragons were led by Noah Reyne’s career high 30 points and 13 rebounds. Lance Luettel added 22 points and 11 rebounds, while Cole Domeyer contributed 8 points.
Adrian took on MCC in second round of section play-offs
The Dragons played 2nd-seeded Murray County Central in the Sub-section quarter-finals on Saturday, March 2nd in Worthington. The Rebels took an early 27-9 lead before the Dragon’s rallied bringing the half-time score to 38-17 in favor of the Rebels. The second half held no relief for the Dragons as the Rebels beat the Dragons 73-41. The Dragons lost to a very good team.
MCC’s Nate Everson, Spencer Wajer and Jack Pierson each scored in double figures.
Lance Luettel and Ian Stamer scored 10 points each for the Dragons while Noah Reyne, Christian Weidert and Dakota John each contributed 6 points. The Dragons ended the season with a 7-9 conference record and 10-15 overall.
The seniors did a great job leading the team this season. Thanks to everyone who came and supported the freshmen, junior varsity and varsity teams this season!
