The Canby Lancers wrestling squad earned a 43-33 victory over the Adrian wrestlers last Thursday, even though the Dragons won more of the matches that were physically wrestled. Adrian was able to muster wins in 6 of the 9 matches that were wrestled, forfeiting to the Lancers in 5 weight classes.
Logan Taylor got the Dragons off to a good start, as he earned a fall over Jake Wagner at 106 pounds. The Lancers then earned a major decision, fall, and decision in the next three weight classes to take a 13-6 lead. Chandler Combs earned a fall in the 132 pound match, before a pair of forfeits at 138 and 145 extended the Lancer lead to 25-12. Marshall Taylor won by decision in the 152 pound match, before two more forfeits by the Dragons put the dual out of reach. Beau Bullerman, Mitchell Wagner, and Scot Edwards ended the dual for the Dragons in style, as each of them earned first period falls over their opponents.
The Dragons will be off until January 5th, where they will be in action in Marshall, taking on the home town Tigers and the F/MCC Warriors.
