Even though the Memorial Day program was cancelled this year, Mark Loosbrock paid tribute to veterans and families by posting a video on YouTube. Mark wrote the song and sings it to the tune of “Hallelujah”. It is a song he has sung at prior Memorial Day programs and he felt 2020 should not be denied. Thank you, Mark, for your tribute in song. Catholic Daughter Court St. Bernard #886 has postponed their annual salad and hot dish luncheon that usually takes place in early June. Another event that is subject to “Covid-19” rules and regulations. Stay tuned for a possible rescheduled date.
Stephen, Bethany, Dominic and Lucia Loosbrock of Lenexa, KS, were Memorial Day weekend guests in the home of his mother, Brenda Loosbrock. Wade and Lacy Loosbrock and their new son, Hudson of Mandan, ND surprised Brenda later in the week with a quick visit. Grandma Brenda was able to meet Hudson for the first time

Thank you to the outgoing officers, Roxanne Kemper (President) and Lisa Diekmann (Treasurer) for their past two years of service.
The American Legion scholarship recipients have been notified by Commander, Darwin Veld. They are: Kaitlyn Lorang (daughter of Tom and Molly of Morgan, MN), Sydney Knips (daughter of Rick and Kerri of Lismore), Isaac Roerig (son of Todd and Susan of Sioux City, IA and Molly Lutmer (daughter of Jim and Jill of Perry, IA). The scholarships are funded by American Legion Post #636, Sons of the American Legion (S.A.L.) American Legion Auxiliary Unit #636, Buck and Rita Krogman family, Earl and Joyce Erdman family, and the Clair and Dorothy Springman family.
