Mitchell Wagner Benefit August 9

Mitchell Wagner, son of Michael and Melanie Wagner, rural Adrian was involved in a boating accident at Lake Shetek on Saturday, June 13th. Mitchell suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI) and underwent surgery. Since then, Mitchell has been working hard on recovery. He is working towards moving on to a rehabilitation facility that specializes in TBI. Brain injuries are different for everyone. “Mitchell may have a long road ahead of him but we know that this will be more like a marathon than a sprint. We are keeping the HOPE in him and continue to trust in God’s plan for Mitchell,” Mitchell’s family stated.

“We are so blessed in our close knit community to be able to reach out to help our neighbors when in need. I see this so often when there is a death or illness of a family member of our churches. Neighbors and friends gather together to help on the farm or to bring food and other signs of support to their neighbor during this time of stress. That certainly is a heart of Mitchell‘s benefit as people are coming together to support him in his  recovery and to give hope and strength to the Wagner family. As people of faith, we have that anchor of prayer to hold Mitchell and the family in our daily prayer intentions. I see that so clearly in the Caring Bridge site where people share their prayers and good wishes for Mitchell, and the Wagner family keeps us informed on his progress. Mitchell is touching a lot of hearts during this time of hope and coming together in prayer for him each day.”  Monsignor Richard Colletti

God bless you all for your prayers and support for Mitchell and the Wagner family.
