Wrestlers Defeat Pipestone, Fall To TMB/WWG

The Adrian Wrestlers headed to Pipestone Tuesday night to take on TMB/WWG and Pipestone. Adrian started the action going against TMB/WWG.

In the first dual of the night, TMB/WWG won by fall at 106 pounds. Brayan Anaya, in his return to action, answered this by pinning his opponent in 1:27. TMB/WWG would win the next three matches by a major decision, a pin, and a forfeit. Logan Sherer and Logan Taylor both earned falls over their opponents at 138 and 145, respectively. TMB/WWG went on to win five of the last seven weights, with Preston Nelson and Scot Edwards the only two remaining Dragons to receive a win. Nelson pinned his opponent, Ethan Martinez, in 3:30, while Scot Edwards received a forfeit at heavyweight. TMB/WWG ended the dual defeating the Dragons 46-29.

In the second dual of the night, Adrian defeated Pipestone 52-24. Adrian started the dual down 6-3, after losing by fall at 106, but winning by decision at 113. Reese Morrison earned a last second fall at 120 over Davis Budden, bringing the Dragons score to 9-6. After forfeiting at 126, the Dragons went on to win eight of the next ten matches. Breyer Hieronimus, Logan Sherer, Quentin Wolf, Cameron Wieneke, Beau Bullerman, and Scot Edwards all won by fall. Logan Taylor defeated Grant Budden by a 8-4 decision at 145, and Preston Nelson defeated Mason Krakow, 12-3, at 182.

Logan Sherer was named varsity Outsatanding Wrestler going 2-0, winning both matches by fall. Max Lehmann was named JV OW as he finished 2-0 on the night.
