Our deepest condolences to the Bruce Loosbrock family. Bruce’s sudden passing puts a cloud over so many people. He was a really big part of so many things. God bless the memory of Bruce Loosbrock.

The volleyball team’s season came to an end on Saturday evening. They were defeated in three sets to bow out of the State running. Congratulations girls on a really great season.

Monday, November 11th is Veterans Day. AHS will be holding a breakfast for any Veteran and spouses that would like to attend, beginning at 8:30 a.m., followed by a program in the High school gym beginning at 9:30. Be sure to thank a Veteran for their service.

Our deepest sympathies to Bev Lindeman and her family at the loss of her husband Stan. He will be greatly missed. God bless the memory of Stan Lindeman.

The weatherman is predicting a cold first couple of weeks in November. Doesn’t sound very nice. Prayers for our farmers working hard to get their crops out.

Be sure to check out Adrian’s Senior Dining! Next week on Tuesday, Nov. 12th is Soul Friends. On the menu is Chicken Marinara. Call ahead for reservations.

Halloween 2019 is in the books. The number of kids on the streets were down this year, at least on the west end of town. Trick or Trunk and the Harvest Fest the school held possibly affected Trick or Treating. There were not many smaller kids out. More of us will have to get involved with Trick or Trunk!

Practices for fall sports begin next week! The first girls basketball game is scheduled for Nov. 22; Boys basketball November 30th and wrestling on December 5th.

Adrian has lost a business that will affect all of us. Our car wash has closed it’s doors permanently due to extensive vandalism last week. It’s too bad that things like this happen!

Be sure to watch the paper for Christmas open houses. They will be spread out over a couple of weeks this year. Don’t miss out!
Please keep in your prayers all in our area that need a little extra. There are many!

Thought for the week: We all need self-confidance, or Pooh’s words, “Your are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.” Words to live by.

Have a great week!
