This summer the Parkview Manor nursing home had seven youngsters helping the residence play Bingo on Wednesday afternoon. This was the second year for some of them. I am sure that they will be back. The residents and kids bond well together. One resident asked in April “When are you going to let the kids come and play bingo”. The students helping this summer were Zach Onken, Esra Onken, Kaci Palmer. Glen O (Resident), Elijah Kruse, Gabe Onken, Micah Onken and Nate Onken.
The American Legion and Auxiliary will hold their regular meeting on Wednesday,
September 13, 2017 at 7:30. The Legion will meet in the City Hall and the Auxiliary will meet at the Oakwood Apartments.
On Sunday evening Tim and Sherrie hosted a gathering at their farm for the Haken families and a few friends. Attending were Daryl and Sharon Buss, Eden Prairie MN; their daughter Jennifer and a friend Amy from Gainesville, Florida; Dave and Linda Boyenga, Bloomington, MN; Daryl and Lila Brinkhous, Rushmore MN their son, Lon and Tammy Brinkhous, boys Shawn and Benjamin, Belvedere, NE; Kurt and Colleen Dubba, Jackson Hole Wyoming; Jeff Kopplow and son Milo and Wilma Kruse.
