Charles Robert Fienhage ~ Wilmont, MN 

 

A Mass of Christian Burial for Charles Robert Fienhage, age 74, of Wilmont, MN will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Wilmont, officiated by Monsignor Richard Colletti. A time of fellowship will be Friday, October 4, 2019 from 4-7:00 p.m., with parish prayers at 7 p.m., at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Burial of cremains with full Military Honors provided by the Wilmont VFW will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Wilmont.  Charles died Saturday, September 28, 2019, at his home. He was born June 15, 1945, on the family farm north of Wilmont, to Robert and Florence (Menke) Fienhage. Chuck attended school at St. Kilian Catholic School and also Adrian Public School. He served his country in the Minnesota National Guards.

Chuck married Cindy Kemper on March 5, 1988, at St. Adrian Catholic Church. The couple lived in Wilmont. Chuck was a long distance trucker, initially working for Hoffman Trucking. Later, he began his own trucking company called C & C Trucking, before retiring in October of 2018 due to health reasons.

He was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Wilmont; and the Wilmont Senior Citizens. Chuck was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, woodworking, snowmobiling, flying his airplane and riding his motorcycle.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Cindy Fienhage, Wilmont, MN; step son, Jason (Sabena) Fienhage, Surprise, AZ; two step grandchildren, Jacob and Tiffany Fienhage; a step great-granddaughter, Alana; two brothers, Galen (Barb) Fienhage, San Antonio, TX; and Robert (Susan) Fienhage, Champlai, MN six sisters, Patricia Fienhage-Werden, St. Paul, MN, Darlene (Dennis) Voss, Sioux Falls, SD; Monica (Bill) Slater, Rushmore, MN; Shirley (Tom) Balster, Minneapolis, MN; Lori (Ken) Welle, Dayton, MN; and Lois (James) Vortherms, Jordan, MN; and his beloved Brittany spaniel, Dakota.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother, Roger; mother and father-in-law, Agnes and Bob Kemper; and a sister-in-law, Susan Cauwels.
