American Legion National Vice Commander Visits Argonne Post #32

Douglas Boldt, American Legion National Vice Commander (1 of 5 Vice Commanders) and Denise Milton, Minnesota American Legion Department Commander, were in attendance during the Adrian American Legion Argonne Post #32 regular meeting.  Both commanders are touring Minnesota meeting with Posts to discuss memberships of the American Legion.  The Argonne Post is at 117% for membership and the Sons of American Legion are 100%.  The Auxiliary is believed to be close to 100% as well.  The commanders were very impressed by the numbers of our local post.

Boldt is from Callaway, Nebraska and was elected, as the National Vice Commander in August 2016 and has been a member of the American Legion for 40 years.  He served in the U.S. Naval Reserves from 1967-1973 on two naval ships mostly in the West PAC.  Currently he serves on the Boys State Standing Committee and also implemented a program called “Operation School Talk” where he shared about his time in the military.  At the national level, he served as a member of National Executive Committee, as an alternate NECman, and he served as a member of the National Security Commission and Homeland Security and Law Enforcement sub-committee.  He has been married to his wife, Mary Anne, for 48 years.
