The Red Cross Bloodmobile organizers, Joyce Erdman and Avis Stoffel, reluctantly report that the bloodmobile scheduled for Monday, February 25th has not been rescheduled.  Be sure to visit Wilmont in July for your donation.  The bloodmobile will return to Lismore in November.

Doug and Laura Loosbrock were among the guests who helped Laura’s mother, Audrey Opitz, celebrate her 88th birthday at the Pizza Ranch in Luverne on Saturday.  Cake and ice cream were served at the Oasis Care Home later in the afternoon.  Happy birthday, Audrey!

Chris and Sylwia Loonan of Berlin, Germany are the proud parents of their first child, a daughter, Lea Vera Loonan was born on January 23, 2019 in Berlin. Proud grandparents are Tom and Cyan (Knips) Loonan of Littleton, MA.  Lea is the great-granddaughter of Janet McDermott of Houston, TX, the late Virgil and Vera Loonan, and Bill Knips.

The “food fight” competition between the Catholic Daughters and the Knights of Columbus is in full swing. Choose which organization you’d like to support and place your non-perishable food items, personal care items, or household items in the respective box at St. Anthony’s.  Remember EVERYONE wins—all items collected will benefit the local food shelves.  An evening of fun, food, and fellowship will conclude the competition.

St. Anthony CCW will host a Spring Social on Saturday, March 9th following the 5 PM Mass.  On the menu will be soup, sandwiches, and sweets.  Bingo will be played following the meal.  Everyone is invited.

Don’t forget to “spring ahead” on Sunday, March 10th…. or better yet, change your clocks before you go to bed on Saturday evening!

Dave Lutmer was a guest in the home of his brother, Rick and Linda Lutmer, in Omaha, NE for several days last week.  He came especially to help with a family home remodeling project.
