Kevin and Jennifer Gengler welcome a son, Noah Charles, who was born December 9th.  Noah joins two older siblings, Matthew and Emma.  Grandparents are Brian and Joyce Gengler of rural Adrian and Patty and Randy Geister of Prior Lake. Congratulations to the entire family!

The community offers sympathy to the family of Kelly J. Engbarth who passed away on December 8th at the age of 61 after a courageous battle with cancer.  Kelly was the wife of Jeff Engbarth (son of Lyle & Karyl, formerly of Lismore). A celebration of Kelly’s life will be held at their home near Scottsdale, AZ on January 18th. Blessed be her memory.

The Bette (and the late Raymond) LeBrun family celebrated an early Christmas on Saturday at St. Catherine’s Parish Hall. Enjoying their time together were the brothers:  Steve, Marty, Jack, Bill, and Jim along with their kids and grandkids.  Bette was the center of attention, getting lots of love from all of the grandkids and great-grandchildren.

Guests in the Frank & Debby Wieneke home for an early Christmas were Darin Wieneke and his wife, Dr. Maria Vu, and children Kaia and Adrian of St. Paul.

Brenda Loosbrock and her daughter, Nichole Quebedeaux returned from a two-week “road trip”.  They spent several days in the home of Brenda’s mom, Lucille Woodruff in Surprise, AZ. Enroute back to Minnesota, Brenda had her yearly check up at the Craig Hospital in Englewood, Colorado.

The plastering and painting project has begun at St. Anthony’s Church, thanks to several Adrian High School students and many adults who helped unload all of the materials and scaffolding that is necessary for the job.  The work will take several months. It will be quite a transformation!

Ruth Lorang and her daughter, Jean Vargas of Dell Rapids, SD were Friday overnight guests of Kevin, Yig, and JP Lorang in Minneapolis.  After enjoying supper on Friday evening, the family attended the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra’s performance of Handel’s Messiah at the Basilica of St. Mary in downtown Minneapolis.  Saturday morning they had breakfast with Ruth’s sister-in-law, Irma Lorang, and nephew Curt Lorang. Ruth and Jean returned to their homes on Saturday evening. A great start to Christmas week!
