Windom Disappoints the Adrian Girls

Committing 25 turnovers while shooting just 36% from the floor, the Dragon girls, in one of their poorer performances of the season, saw the Windom Eagles put up 28 second half points sending Adrian home with a 63-42 loss. The non-conference loss drops the Dragons over-all record to five hundred at 3-3.

Mistakes early and often by the visiting Dragons allowed the Eagles to grab the first lead of the night before a Hannah Bullerman three-pointer put the Dragons ahead 3-2 at the 16:49 mark. A Moriah Bullerman fieldgoal extended it to a 5-2 advantage on the Dragons next possession, but Windom answered with the games next nine points. Another trey from Hannah Bullerman trimmed the lead to three points and when Moriah Bullerman made one of two free throws, followed by a Paige Bullerman basket, the Dragons had themselves to within a point at 12-13.

It would be the closest Adrian would come as the Eagles finished with a 12-10 scored advantage to hold a three point (25-22) halftime lead. A seven of 11 free throw performance from the hometown team proved to be the difference in the opening minutes.
