2018-2019 Boys basketball awards banquet

The Adrian Dragons Boys Basketball program held their post-season awards banquet Sunday, March 24th in the elementary school commons.  The meal was catered by Pizza Ranch.

The Dragons ended the season with a 10-15 record.  The seniors Christian Weidert, Bryce Wilson, Braxton Vortherms, Dakota John, Cole Domeyer and Devin Frodermann did a great job leading this season. Thanks to everyone who came and supported the freshmen, junior varsity and varsity teams this season! The team members earned and received the following honors:

Award winners were:  Mr. Hustle- Dakota John,  Mr. Fire- Dakota John, Dragon Award- Christian Weidert, Mr. Defense- Noah Reyne, Most Improved- Nathan Rahe.

Individual team leaders were:  2pt. FG% Leader – Lance Luettel 43% (109/251),  3pt. FG% Leader – Dakota John 36% (17/47), Overall FG% Leader – Lance Luettel 43% (109/251), FT% Leader – Noah Reyne 64% (77/121), Most Rebounds – Lance Luettel (175), Most Assists – Christian Weidert (55), Most Points Scored – Noah Reyne (335).

2018-19 season Letter Winners were:   Cole Domeyer, Devin Frodermann, John Heidebrink, Caleb Hornstein,   Dakota John, Lance Luettel, Nathan Rahe, Noah Reyne, Brandon Schnoor, Ian Stamer, Tristan Thier, Brady Vortherms, Braxton Vortherms, Bryce Wilson, Christian Weidert, Tyler Wolford, Emma Madtson and Emily Lebrun

The Dragons had two players earn Red Rock All Conference honors: Christian Weidert  made the Red Rock Conference team and  Noah Reyne- received honorable mention.

Junior Varsity Awards winners were:  Mr. Hustle- Tanner Hinrichs, Mr. Fire- Tanner Hinrichs, Dragon Award- Tristan Thier, Mr. Defense- Tristan Thier and Most Improved- Caleb Hornstein.  Team leaders were:   2pt. FG% Leader – Nathan Rahe 38% (15/40), 3pt. FG% Leader – John Heidebrink 28% (7/25), Overall FG% Leader – Brandon Schnoor 35% (42/119),  FT% Leader – John Heidebrink 60% (33/55), Most Rebounds – Tristan Thier (71)

Most Assists – Nathan Rahe (28), Most Points Scored – John Heidebrink (161).
