Tracksters move on to Sections

The Dragon tracksters entered into the post season at the Section 3 Sub-Section SW meet in Luverne on May 25. Five individuals and four relay teams are locked into advancing to the section meet.

Senior Zach Bierman set a new personal record time of 11.76a in the 100m for second place, a personal best time of 23.58a in the 200m for third place and also placed third in the long jump earning a trip to sections in all three events.Freshman Scot Edwards also set a new personal best with a throw of 43-01.50 in the shot put eaning a trip to the Section meet.  Freshman Moriah Bullerman set a season best time of 2:36.09a in the 800m for fourth place, she also earned fourth in the 1600m punching her ticket to the section meet in both events.  The boys relay team of Dakota John, Kasey Madtson, Tristian White and Zach Bierman earned a trip to the Section meet with a third place finish.

Advancing on time or distance after all subsection results are compared are; Senior Tristian White with a fifth place finish in the 100m race and Sophomore Dakota John who used a personal best jump of 38-03.25 in the triple jump for fifth place.  Freshman Kendra Frodermann set a personal record in the 200m for fifth place and a trip to Sections.  The boys 4×200 relay team of Dakota John, Chance Turner, Michael Preuss and Tristian White placed sixth, the 4×100 relay of Hannah Henning, Bailey Lonneman, Kendra Frodermann and Katia Suarez placed fifth and the 4×200 team of the same girls also earned fifth place, all moving on to represent the Dragons at Sections.

Runners advancing will compete at Sections in Pipestone on June 1st.
