What a windy week!  Where does all the wind come from and where does it go?  Whatever moisture we manage to get is gone in one windy day.  Now we get to enjoy the mid-nineties this week along with the wind!

Our deepest sympathy to the Nelson family.  Logan Nelson was killed in a boating accident on Lake Shetek Saturday night.  Please keep the family in your prayers.  Blessed be the memory of Logan.  God’s peace to his family and friends.  Please send special prayers to Mitchell Wagner who was severely hurt in the same accident.  Mitchell and his family need our help and support to get through this.

All of the young adults who were on the boat and their families and our whole community need God’s healing peace.  We’ve seen too much in the first few months of 2020.  COVID-19, protests and rioting, the deaths of several young adults, and now this, we cannot begin to cope without God’s help and each others support.  Everyone is reeling. There just aren’t words.  Reach out and show your love.  It’s so important to let others know you care.

Have you seen the new community gardens?  They are located on the corner north of the high school!  Check out the pictures in this week’s Nobles County Review and drive by and take a look!

Our deepest sympathy to the family of Bill Lewis who passed away on June 7th.  He is the brother of Pat Henning.  Blessed be the memory of Bill Lewis.

Well, to whoever is interested, I no longer have tadpoles, but all kinds of mini frogs around my pond.  They are about the size of a fly.  I had to look hard to see what I was really looking at.

Don’t forget those in our communities that need prayers, especially those who have lost someone, are sick, or are lonely.  Prayer is a strong power.

Please continue to keep yourself safe from COVID.  With everything opening up, there is a rise in cases, so look out for yourself!

Thought for the week:  “So God created human beings in His own image…and He saw that it was very good.” (Gen. 1:27, 31)

As we enter into bathing-suit season, the time of the year when you might be tempted to look into the mirror and judge your reflection, shift your focus to the above verse.  If you find yourself being critical, recognize that God designed every part of you. You are His masterpiece!

Have a good week.
