Adrian News 3-14-18

Kay Cox is retiring from being a part of the Adrian News.  After so many years, we will miss her.  We hope she will continue to send in tidbits when she runs across them.  Kay is still recovering at the Adrian Country Cottages from a fall she took.  So stop by and say hi!  God Bless you, Kay and hope you heal quickly!Ray and Shirley Wieneke, Don and Vonnie Wolf, Carol and Gene Hieronimus, Randy and Mary Reisdorfer, Dave and Jane Heitkamp, Gary and Connie Hoffer and Marcia and Tony Kunkel took some time and went to Florida to get out of the Minnesota winter. They enjoyed golf, shopping at flea markets, a Super Bowl party, visiting “the Square”,  the Old Town Trolley, seeing the ocean and of course eating.  Good friends!  Good times!  Great memories!

St. Adrian Knights of Columbus will host a pancake and sausage breakfast following the 10:30 Mass on Sunday, March 18.

Tony Kunkel of Adrian had his knee replaced on Thursday, March 8.  He is doing well and recovering at home.

The AHS speech team placed fourth in the Montevideo Thunderhawk Invitational on Saturday, March 10.  There were seven students who placed in the meet.  Congratulations to these students!

Saturday is St. Patty’s Day.  Be sure to attend the parade beginning at 4:00 on Maine street.  Following the parade is the second annual St. Patty’s Day Steak Fry at the American Legion.  Come downtown and be sure to wear your green!

Spring officially begins next Tuesday, March 20!  As the snow is melting, we should be seeing spring flowers peaking through.

The Easter Bunny will be at Adrian Country Cottages on March 24 from 9:00 -11:00 a.m.  You can get your picture taken with the Easter bunny!

Happy belated birthday to Lisa Kruger who celebrated a milestone birthday this past week!

Sam Croat, daughter of Micki and Mark Croat, is traveling abroad with the NDSU Crop and Soil departments.  What a long way from Adrian.
