At last, our area businesses and churches are reopening.  Each individual business has to have procedures in place for sanitizing and social distancing, but they are reopen for your business.

St. Adrian held Sunday services starting last Sunday, using state guidelines allowing only 25% of the building’s capacity.  People either called the church office or sent a text to Fr. Colletti letting him know they would like to attend.  Father said that for the St. Adrian Cluster an average of 65 people attended worship at each church.  The service is still being live streamed for those who feel safer at home.

Zion Lutheran Church will resume Sunday services this coming Sunday, June 7th using the 25% guidelines.  The service is scheduled for 10:45 a.m.  Proper distancing will be maintained.  Communion will be taken in individual pews-no gathering at the altar.

The United Methodist Church will remain closed to personal attendance, but still offers live streaming at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings on YouTube or Facebook.

First Baptist Church reopened two weeks ago. 25% of capacity is being followed and that is what they have had at services.  Masks are not required, but available.  Social distancing in the pews is being followed, one family per pew.  The service is being projected on screen, so no one is handling books.  Communion will be served in disposable cups, so no one touches anything but their own.

The Adrian Campground reopened June 1 to all campers.  People are being asked to limit the gatherings in a campsite to no more than 10 people, social distancing.  The bathrooms/shower house will open when the construction is complete.  All playground equipment and disc golf is open.  The bathrooms at the upper and lower parks are open to the public  In the campground office, people are asked to social distance.  As of now, the swimming pool is not open.  The park department is waiting for state guidelines.  It will be ready to go as soon as the green light is given.

Adrian City Hall will reopen for customers as soon as the plexiglass is installed.  There is always someone in the office, and the others are working from home.  Call if you have any business that needs to be taken care of.

Local essential businesses have been open and will continue to follow state procedures.   Closet to Closet was able to reopen about two weeks ago.  Restaurants and bars have been allowed to open with people sitting outside only.  Takeout is still available.  Be sure to check it out before just dropping in.

Salons and barber shops have also reopened as of June 1.  You must have an appointment.  Scheduling will be done to assure social distancing and as few people in the salon/shop at one time.  Each individual owner is responsible for setting up guidelines.

Sterling Drug is still closed to the public.  Plexiglass will be installed soon with the hopes of reopening.  So please continue to call and your prescriptions can be picked up.

Adrian Family Dental is open as before.  You can wear a mask in if you wish, but you will have to remove it for work.  The staff at Adrian Family Dental is taking more precautions following guidelines.

Be sure to check out and follow guidelines for businesses as they try to get back to a normal.  Please respect their choices to keep you and them safe.  Everyone has been really good at supporting our local businesses.  Please continue to do so.  Social distance, wash your hands often and stay home if you don’t feel safe being out.  We are not out of the woods yet.
