Dragons get fourth win of year

The Adrian Dragons traveled to Luverne last Tuesday to take on the Cardinals in a dual meet.  The Dragons came away with a 39-27 victory, after jumping out to a 12-0 lead.

Logan Taylor put the Dragons up 3-0 with a 9-2 decision over Riley Cowell at 106 pounds.  Jesus Anaya followed with a great effort, coming back a 2-0 deficit to defeat Braydon Ripka by a 9-2 margin.  Isaac Bullerman pinned his 120-pound opponent, before the Cardinals earned a pair of falls in a row to know things up at 12 apiece.  Logan Sherer earned a fall at 138 pounds, while Preston Nelson wrestled an excellent match, controlling Dalton Desollar the entire way en route to a decision.  The Cardinals won the next three matches, as they won by default, decision, and fall to take a 27-21 lead.  The Dragons accepted three forfeits to end the dual with the 39-27 victory.

Preston Nelson was named the varsity OW with his decision over Dalton Desollar at 145 pounds.  Dominic Canales was named the JV OW as he pinned his opponent.

The Dragons will wrap up the regular season at home on Thursday when they take on TMB at home. The action will start at 6 pm.  The Dragons will then head into Team Section play on February 15th. brackets will be announced as soon as the regular season comes to a conclusion and seeds are determined.
