In September 1945 he returned home.  He reenlisted and their family moved to Denver, CO.  Jack was killed in a car accident in July, 1947.  Following his death, his wife Lucille, Sharron (age 6) and Jerry (13 months) returned to Sioux Falls, SD to live.

This week Lismore paid tribute to Sandy (Krogman) Spidel.  Sandy passed away on Monday, May 13th and her funeral service was on May 31st.  Fr. David Krogman (a first cousin to Sandy) officiated at her service and shared stories of Sandy growing up.  He mentioned several “landmarks” which brought smiles to many faces – places like the Ritz Ballroom, the two-story State Bank building, and Hebig Hardware to name a few!  Sandy livened up the place whenever she came in; she was the life of the party!  Sandy’s nickname was “JEEP”. How fitting that her cremains were transported in a jeep to her final resting place. Rest in peace, Sandy.
