Let’s try this one more time….an important person was inadvertently omitted from the guest list last time!!  Father Colletti officiated at a private baptism held at St. Anthony on Sunday, October 7th at noon for Stetson Walter Ziebarth, son of Morgan and Carter Ziebarth of Flandreau, SD.  Marriah and Brandon Aggen are Stetson’s godparents. Stetson wore his father’s baptismal gown. Attending were: big sister, Hadley; Grandparents, Andrew and Michele Wieneke and Kellie and Carl Brakke; Great grandparents, Rollie and Karen Miller, Eileen Wieneke, and Marie Ziebarth; Marriah, Brandon, and Coy Aggen; and Aunt McKenzie Wieneke. Uncle Mason Wieneke was the server for the baptism. All gathered in the church basement for lunch.

Congratulations to area marathon runners, Alissa and Megan Sauer!  These sisters, former AHS cross country standouts, continue to hit the pavement and recently ran in the Mankato Marathon on October 21st.  Megan was second in her age group, competing against 115 women.  Alissa placed 80th out of 1043 runners in her category.  Pretty impressive, ladies!!!

It’s your last chance to donate winter coats and warm clothing.  Items may be dropped at the Tony and Darla Parsley home on Maine Avenue.

James Reisdorfer of Lismore will be celebrating his 90th birthday on Sunday, November 4, 2018.  His family would like to honor this big event with a card shower.  Please send your cards to James Reisdorfer, Box 143, Lismore, MN 56155

The First Presbyterian Church of Lismore will hold it’s annual Soup and dessert dinner on Sunday, November 4th at the American Legion Hall in Lismore.  Serving begins at 11:00 a.m. until gone.  A free will donation will be accepted.  Guests may also participate in the cookie walk and auction.

The Red Cross Bloodmobile will be in Wilmont on Tuesday, November 6th from 2-7pm at the Wilmont Community Center. Please mark your calendars!

The “Soctober” collection is winding down.  This will be the last week for donations. A “tub” is located in the back of St. Anthony’s.  Ct. St. Bernard #886 thanks you in advance for your generousity.

Tammy Loosbrock was named to the Becker’s Hospital Review’s 71 critical access hospital’s CEO’s to know in 2018.   Becker’s Healthcare is the leading source of cutting-edge business and legal information for healthcare industry leaders. Tammy serves as the Senior Director of Sanford Luverne and Rock Rapids Medical Centers.  She is the daughter in law of Gary & Vickie Loosbrock of Lismore.  Tammy and husband Troy make their home in Adrian. Congratulations, Tammy, on earning this award of excellence!

Lacy Osborne of Rochester was a weekend guest in the home of her parents, Jim & Kris Weidert. Aunt Lacy was here to celebrate Mari Einck’s fourth birthday, which was earlier this month. The family enjoyed bowling at the Wilmont Rec Center.  Jim showed them how it was done by throwing five strikes in a row! Way to go, Jim!!

Congratulations to Casey Johnson and Kyle Dahmen on the birth of their daughter, Emma Rose, on October 26th.  Emma joins an older sister, Alyx, at home.  Proud grandparents are Patty and Mike Buysse of Lismore and Pat and Shannon Dahmen of rural Hardwick. Great grandparents are Eva Covey of Sioux Falls and the late Melvin and Darleen Lutmer.

Enjoying the Tour of Tables at Luverne’s Grand Prairie Event Center on Saturday were

Joyce Erdmann, Ruth Lorang, Mary Ann Loosbrock, and Margie Wieneke of Lismore; Coletta Oertli of Adrian; and Bette LeBrun of Luverne The ladies were in awe of the beautifully decorated tables and enjoyed a delicious brunch that was catered by the BlueStem. This was the 15th annual Tour of Tables that is a benefit/fundraiser for Sanford Luverne Hospice.

Eli Bender celebrated his 1st birthday with a Cookie Monster themed party at his home in Brookings, SD with his parents Kyle and Natalie on Saturday.  Other guests included Jeff and Denise Lynn and Bob and Jeannette Lynn, all of Lismore; Adam, Sam and Addison Voss of Adrian; Jay Bender and Adrienne Mcentee.
