A little over a year ago, the community and members of the Wilmont VFW set out on a mission, to “Raise the Roof” on the current VFW facility. The roof was in need of replacement and through various fundraising and local donations, they did just that.
An appreciation supper to honor everyone who helped with the completion of the project and celebration of the new roof will be held on Flag Day, Tuesday, June 14 at 5:30 p.m. at the VFW. A flag burning ceremony will be held after the supper to properly decommission old unserviceable flags. Please plan to attend and bring your flags.
