Ahh! the unknown of the changing season. Fall can have the nicest of days and the appreciation of them is like holding a butterfly. It can be gone in an instant. October can have beautiful weather bringing forth memories of frolicking in piles of leaves and throwing them at your friends. The urgency that comes with those days is felt in your bones. It would be hard to judge the good days without the pending harsh weather days. Accept it and work with it.

Last Saturday, we joined a couple carloads of friends and went on the Hinterlands Art Crawl. Starting at nine in the morning near Dovray we headed north and east visiting about half of what was available. It was very interesting with a wide display of talent. I found a couple of interesting ideas that could be useful for a couple of projects that have been on hold.

Yes, I have many projects in the unfinished process but now I have solutions for a couple of them. Who knew.

Rain is again being promised Tuesday and Wednesday and again on Saturday. Mow when you can.

I get to go to the VA on the first for little adjustments in the arm to make a little more room for nerves that are pinched. It should be over quickly and I will be normal in a couple of years, assuming normal is achievable.

A lonely kayaker wrote to a dating service explaining that he had specific criteria for a potential mate and would not accept anyone that doesn’t meet his standard.

He described what his future soulmate should be like: the young lady must be cute, short, enjoys cold water and paddling.

A couple of weeks later he received the following in the mail: a picture of a penguin.
