So fall came and now it’s cooler, some say cold. This will soon be considered good weather that will be remembered all winter. Supposedly we had some snow flurries but we know it’s to early for that sort of nonsense.

We spent a few days in Branson Mo. took in a few of the shows. The best were Moses at the Sight and Sound Theater and Jeff Foxworthy at some other great place. It was a fun time with a lot of choices of things thins to do. There were several other shows that were pretty good but I already forgot most of it.

It has been a few years since we were last there and it does seem to grow. The real problem is it was also opening day of the waterfowl hunting on Saturday and that is kind of a big deal. I have missed very few over the years and do enjoy the time out in nature. It’s kinda special. Sure there are other days and other openers and there is a fair chance I’ll be there for it. Branson was good.

The harvest has been put on hold with our random showers trailing through the area. There is time but always nice to get it going. Iowa, central part, was in full harvest mode. A lot corn was being taken out and the beans were mostly out. It was dry enough. North part was still pretty wet, much like us.

My old Aunt says

I was at a wedding reception where all the married

men were asked

To stand next to the one person who most made their

lives worth living.

The poor bartender was almost crush to death.
