Molly Einck celebrated an early 1st birthday on Sunday, February 11th.  Her party featured a “heart” theme! Little Molly continues to amaze everyone by enduring 27 chest and/or abdominal X-rays, 14 EKG’s, 13 echocardiograms, 4 swallow studies, 2 Holter monitors, 2 open heart surgeries, 1 heart cath, and many blood draws!!  That’s a MIGHTY little one year old!  She is working on crawling, pulling herself up onto things, says mama & dada, and loves her bath time  & big sister. Guests in the Mike & Melissa Einck home were Molly’s big sister, Mari; her grandparents Jim & Kris Weidert of Lismore and Ron & Janelle Einck of Wilmont; great-grandparents Mary & Jerome Weidert of Wilmont and Bess Lingen of Tyler; and aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends including Olivia Weidert of Marshall;  Nina Weidert of Lismore &  Stuart Rogers of Reading;  Nick, Brianne, Trystan, and Braxton Einck of rural Wilmont; Jackie, Joe, Dani, and Liam Ward of Edgerton; Daryl & Pam Gunnick of Wilmont; Brandon LeBrun & Kaylee Gunnick of Adrian; and  Clint, Paige, Tucker and Cooper Metz of Sioux Falls, SD.

The American Legion Auxiliary will meet on Wednesday, February 21st at 7pm.  Avis Stoffel will provide lunch and Ellen Henning will provide the Bingo Prizes.

Congratulations to Dakota John, son of Jim & Shelley of rural Lismore, on being a recipient of the MSHSL ExCEL award.  This award honors high school juniors for their excellence in community, education, and leadership! Dakota is one of 18 young men chosen throughout the state. Congratulations Dakota!

Tom & Lisa Diekmann and Cliff & Tammi Altman enjoyed a week visiting family and friends from Lismore who winter in Florida. They spent time with Tom’s brother, Lee Diekmann of New Port Richey.  They also got together with Gary & Vickie Loosbrock, Dale & Judy Peterburs, Rod Tweet & his friend Deb, Chuck & Barb Tweet, and Lisa’s sister and her husband, Laurel & Mike Pap. The couples reported that the weather was beautiful so they had lots of time to soak up the sun on those white sandy beaches.  They visited the cities of Fort Myers, Naples, Sarasota, Ruskin, and Clearwater.

Guests in the Veryl & Avis Stoffel home over the Feb. 10th weekend were Irma Lorang and Carla Lorang, Mark & Glynis Stoffel, Ellen Henning, Earl Hebig and Chris Rokeh.  On Saturday they had a birthday party for their sister and aunt Mildred Arens in Fulda.

Andy, Joe, and Jack Rahe, sons of Luke and Jen, and Matthew Giester, son of Kevin & Jen Gengler of rural Lismore participated in the Knights of Columbus district free throw competition held in Ellsworth last weekend.  Andy (12 year old division) and Joe (10 year old division) and Matthew (9 year old division) all advanced to the regional competition to be held in Adrian on March 4th.  Andy was also highlighted for the best shooting of any participant, making 21 of 25 free throws. Congratulations to these sharp shooters!!

The tradition continues….The Lutmer brothers, sons, brothers-in-law, sons-in-law and a few friends returned last Tuesday from their annual fishing trip near Starbuck.  Fishermen included:  Jeff Lutmer, Dave Lutmer, Cody Lutmer, Mike Buysse, and Tom Krogman, all of Lismore; Will Lutmer and Andy Heitkamp both of Sioux Falls, SD; Tyler Wagner, Marshall; Gary Lutmer, St. James; Bruce Lutmer, Brooklyn Park; Tim Johnson, Ham Lake; Randy Lutmer, Louisville, KY; Zach Lutmer, Dublin, OH; Rick Lutmer and Adam Lutmer, Omaha, NE; Dylan Johnson, Brandon, SD; and Tim Lutmer, Alexandria.  Don Sykora of Ortonville and and Frank Wieneke of Lismore also spent some time with the guys throughout their stay.
