    Weekend guests in the home of Bruce & Brenda Loosbrock were:  Nichole Loosbrock of Omaha, NE and her friend, Austin of Des Moines, IA and their friend Brady of Lindsay, NE and Cel & Amber Ezeani and Dube & Amara of Boston, MA.  The Ezeani’s will be spending most of August visiting friends and family in Minnesota.

     Main Street always looks so nice when the American flags are flying!  Thank you, Lismore Amercian Legion Post #636 for displaying the flags for holidays and special occasions. It is wonderful to see “Old Glory” flying from the light poles in our little town!

     Lisa Diekmann, Stephani Diekmann, Brenda Loosbrock, Mary Ann Loosbrock, Deb Lutmer, and Mary Metz, all of Ct. St. Bernard #886 of Lismore attended the MN State Catholic Daughter summer workshop titled, “Keys to Success” in Adrian on Sunday.  Other members attending included women from St. James, Currie, Slayton, Marshall, Wilmont, Pipestone, and Adrian.  The Catholic Daughters are ready to begin a new year and invite any Catholic woman, age 18 or older to join one of the largest international organizations of Catholic women in the world.

    Sutton Lutmer (son of Will & McCall), Sioux Falls, SD and Carol Giroux, Darrel Johnson, and Bev Rasmussen, all of Wheaton, were last Saturday afternoon guests in the home of Dave & Deb Lutmer.

     It’s not too early to mark your calendar for the St. Anthony Church Bazaar and Auction that will be held on September 11th.  An excellent meal, fun games, unique auction items, and good company are a sure deal!

     The ladies of the First Presbyterian Church will host a salad supper on August 15 at the Lismore Legion Hall beginning at 6:30 p.m. All are invited.

     Steven & Laurie Wieneke and Katie of Lismore and Orey & Carmen Fey of Edgerton attended the funeral for Jessica Balster in Fargo on Wednesday.  Jessica is Laurie’s niece, the daughter of Carrie Balster and the late Steven Balster.  At age 27 she fought a courageous battle with cancer.  Blessed be her memory.
