Panther volleyball season begins

E/E 3 – Edgerton 0

The Ellsworth Panther girls opened up the season against Edgerton at home on August 28th.  There are eleven girls out for E/E and have set goals to open the season strong.

The girls won all three sets  25-22, 25-20 and 25-20.

Leading the Panthers were Kallie Chapa with nine kills, eight digs, two set assists and two ace serves, Ashly Meester with four kills, seven digs and one ace serve, Lizzie Chapa with two kills, two ace serves and eight digs.

Morgan Dreesen had 26 set assists, Kendra DeBeer eight digs, two ace serves and Grace Mulder added two kills and one ace serve.

9-4-2018

H-BC 3, Ellsworth 0

Hills-Beaver Creek came to Ellsworth and defeated Ellsworth in three sets with scores of 25-14, 25-20, and 25-9.

Ashlyn Meester and Kendra DeBeer led the Panthers in kills with three each.

Morgan Dreesen had two ace serves along with two blocks and 15 set assists.

9-6-2018

HL-O 3, Ellsworth 1

The Panthers and Heron Lake-Okabena started the night even at 1-1 but HL-O won the next two to defeat the Panthers.

Scores were 25-18, 28-30, 25-15, 25-20.

Ashlyn Meester led Ellsworth with nine kills and Lizzie Chapa added five. Chapa and Meester both served for two aces and Morgan Dreesen had 29 set assists.

Grace Mulder led Ellsworth in digs with 15, and Meester had 10, with three blocks.

The Panthers season stands at 1-2 and they traveled to Central Lyon Tournament on Sept 8th  and face Forest Ridge on Sept 13th.
