Offensive Line Shines!

The Adrian Dragons seeded number one in Section 3A with a 3 & 2 mark took on the number two seeded team in Section 3A, the RTR Knights, and it was the Dragons that came out on top 48 to 14.  Adrian rushed the ball for 394 yards on 44 carries.  The offensive line for Adrian dominated the game in the trenches.

Adrian received the opening kickoff and used 6 plays to go 76 yards with Nick Harder capping off the drive with a 20 yard run.  The PAT kick by Dominiq Canales was good and Adrian led 7 to 0.  Big plays in the drive was two Dakota John runs of 18 and 14.

Adrian’s defense forced RTR to punt and just one 1st down, Adrian took over on their 41 yard line.  Adrian used two plays to go the 59 yards with Dakota John sprinting from 65 yards out for the touchdown.  The PAT was blocked and Adrian led 13 to 0.

RTR went 3 plays and out and punted the ball to Adrian where they took over on their 43 yard line.  Adrian used 9 plays to go 57 yards with Dylan Gyberg scoring on a one yard blast.  Dakota John ran the ball in for the two point conversion and Adrian led 21 to 0.  The offensive line of Mitchell Wagner, Lance Luettel, Skylar Polzine, Zack Loosbrock, Skylar Dingmann, Zach Bierman, and Kasey Madtson started to dominate the game in the trenches.

Tristian White came up big on Adrian’s next defensive possession as he intercepted the RTR pass and returned the ball 35 yards to give the Dragons excellent field position.  Adrian used 8 plays to travel 67 yards with Dakota John scoring the touchdown from 7 yards out.  The PAT kick was no good and Adrian led 27 to 0.  A big play in the drive was an Alex Loosbrock to Brendyn White pass of 24 yards on 3rd down and 17.
