Adrian Dragons hosted HBC on Tuesday, August 30. The Dragons stumbled out of the gate and couldn’t gain momentum in the first set and lost 11-25. Perhaps with some encouragement from the beach attire by the fans, the Dragons looked promising in the second set of the night. Aggressive attacking by Miah Kunkel kept the Dragons in the game for the first 15 points, and the Dragon defense picked up with help from Lexi Slater and Brittney Loonan. However, HBC’s strategic hitting was too much for the defense. The Dragons fell 19-25. The third set held no promise for the Dragons as they were defeated 12-25. Lexi Slater and Brittney Loonan each had 10 digs for the Dragons. Miah Kunkel provided 5 kills and Paige Bullerman added 4, respectively.
